After graduating in Metallurgical engineering from the prestigious Banaras Hindu University, he started his career as a Graduate Engineer at Rourkela Steel Plant. He went on to acquire training in Kaiser Steel Works, Fontana, USA, in the Steel Technology & Manufacture. Having gained unparallel expertise in steel industry sector he established United Steel & Allied Industries (USAI). USAI's contribution to the Heavy Industrial Sector is legendary.

A firm believer in the concepts of indigenization and growth through innovative manufacture, he set up Oil Country Tubular Limited (OCTL) for processing a range of Oil Country Tubular Goods required for the Oil Drilling and Exploration Industry.

Taking its commitment to indigenization and developing strong R & D base forward the group made forays into Manufacturing of high-end Diagnostic Kits & Medical Equipment by starting Kamineni Life Sciences. This is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Company.

The group which believes in championing the cause of education and health has set up a chain of Multi-Specialty hospitals and centers of higher learning in medical and paramedical fields. As part of this commitment it established Kamineni Hospital, Kamineni Fertility Centre, Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences and Kamineni Institute of Dental Sciences.

Apart from Higher education the group also has an abiding commitment to school education. It is this commitment that prompted the promoters of this prestigious group to set up international standard school rooted strongly in Indian Value and ethos. The school called Sri Vidya Peeth is both residential and day school.
