Kamineni Suryanarayana, an Engineer, Architect, Industrialist, Technocrat and a Philanthropist with a vision. A Degree in Metallurgy from the reputed Banaras Hindu University, India, in 1959.

After Graduation, he joined Rourkela Steel Plant and was trained in Kaiser Steel Works, Fontana, California, USA, in 1960-61 in the technology of Steel manufacture. He has been associated with the Heat-treatment and Processing of various specialty steels.

Under his guidance, the Kamineni Group diversified its activities from Infrastructure to Manufacturing Industries/ Hospitals/ Medical and Health care/ and Education.

In his quest for an entrepreneurial career, he quit Rourkela Steel Plant in 1966 and established an independent firm, United Steel Allied Industries in 1966 for fabrication and erection of Heavy Structural Engineering Projects for Power Plants, Steel Plants, and Technological Pipe Lines for Steel Plants. Successfully executed works for Indian Oil Corporation, Nuclear Fuel Complex, Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board, Bharat Aluminum Company, Bhilai Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Oil Country Tubular Ltd, United Seamless Tubulaar Pvt. Ltd., USAI Forge Pvt. Ltd., and Kamineni Steel and Power India Pvt. Ltd.

Manufacturing Industries:

Mr. Kamineni Suryanarayana promoted Oil Country Tubular Limited (OCTL) in Technical collaboration with Baker Tubular Services / Baker Hughes Tubular Services, Houston, USA, in 1986 as an integrated manufacturing facility for Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) covering Drill Pipes, Production Tubing and Casing Pipes to International Standards. OCTL is accredited with ISO Certification and Licensed to use the American Petroleum Institute (API) Monogram on various products manufactured.

United Seamless Tubulaar Pvt. Ltd. (UST), a Seamless Pipe Manufacturing facility for the manufacture of seamless pipes used in the Oil Exploration activities, covering Casing / Tubing/ Drill Pipes/ and Line Pipes, having a capacity of 300,000 MTPA. The Facility is licensed by American Petroleum Institute (API) and is ISO certified.

Kamineni Steel and Power India Pvt. Ltd. (KSPIPL) manufacturing facilities for a 360,000 MTPA of high quality alloy and carbon Steel billets and blooms in both round and square cross sections, for varied industrial segments.

Kamineni Hospitals have been established with a combined bed strength of more than 2600 beds, amongst it 4 hospitals. It unites the physicians and scientists with the health professionals and facilities that make up the broad, integrated Kamineni Hospital's health system.

Mr. Kamineni Suryanarayana has been the architect for establishing the Medical colleges at Narketpally and Hyderabad, Dental Colleges at Narketpally. These institutions are ‘A’ NAAC Accreditation.

Kamineni Foundation was established to provide rural health care, free medical aid to the needy, free surgical camps, as part of Corporate Social Responsibility.
